For the past 25 years, Beekley Medical has been dedicated to supporting our community. Our methods have changed over time, from providing free mammograms to helping local breast centers purchase equipment, but our goal remains constant: to assist our partners in screening more women and enhancing the breast care experience for patients.
ARC Angel, the associate-run charitable arm of Beekley Corporation, hosts two popular events: the Designer Handbag Bingo, which is celebrating its 10th anniversary this year, and the 25th annual ARC Angel Golf Tournament. Both events aim to raise funds to ensure that every woman in our local community has access to quality breast care.
A History of Gratitude
In 2005, we began offering complimentary breast cancer awareness pins to our customers as part of our giveback philosophy. Each year, we create a unique, custom pin and poster design in the hope that it will resonate with our customers and their patients. Over the years, we've learned that technologists collect these pins to wear on their lanyards or display on cork boards as a reminder of our appreciation for their role in breast cancer prevention.
Let’s take a journey through time, tracing the evolution of Beekley Medical’s breast cancer awareness pins:
Beekley Medical's theme for Breast Cancer Awareness Month this year is "Breast Health Angels" – similar to "Charlie's Angels", but instead of fighting crime, our customers are fighting breast cancer. Despite the changes in today’s breast imaging landscape – including density notification laws, additional screening methods, staff retention challenges, and consideration of AI - one thing never changes. Our customers are dedicated to their patients and committed to giving them the best possible outcome. We are incredibly proud to have customers like ours.
A Small Gesture with a Big Impact
While pins and posters won't solve all the problems, they serve as a gentle reminder. Beekley Medical values and appreciates the tireless efforts of our clinical partners throughout the year. It's a way to say, "We see you, we appreciate you, and we stand with you." This message echoes hope, strength, and love, emphasizing the importance of prioritizing breast health. To all healthcare professionals, patients, and supporters: let's spread kindness, compassion, and awareness.
