Recognizing Excellence in Manufacturing

manufacturing

National Manufacturing Day is held annually on the first Friday of October. It is a grassroots movement that aims to showcase the reality and future of modern manufacturing careers. Manufacturers are encouraged to come together to address their collective challenges and to build excitement about manufacturing careers, ultimately helping their communities thrive.

Beekley Medical would like to recognize and appreciate our exceptional "Customer Satisfaction Team" in celebration of Manufacturing Day. This team is made up of those Beekley Associates working in receiving, production, inspection, engineering, shipping, vendor management, and quality/regulatory. Twenty-four individuals who ensure that our warehouse runs like clockwork under the supervision of Pjeter Pretashi, Director of Manufacturing Operations.

The people responsible for ensuring customer satisfaction with product and delivery

Our receiving team receives and inspects all raw materials to ensure that product specifications and standards are met. The production team maintains critical levels of the finished product to meet our on-time delivery goals. The inspection team ensures that all finished products meet and exceed our customers' expectations. The shipping team is responsible for fulfilling customer orders to meet or exceed Beekley’s commitment to ship orders within 24 hours of receiving them.

Behind the scenes is our engineering team, which develops new products and enhancements and maintains (and sometimes even designs and builds) our production equipment. Our Vendor Manager, Andy L'Heureux, ensures the timely delivery of high-quality materials. Kate Chase, our Director of Quality & Regulatory, is responsible for ensuring compliance with relevant regulations to guarantee the safety and effectiveness of all our products.

Doing whatever it takes for our customers

This team is dedicated to ensuring our customers always receive high-quality products that perform as promised and never experience a backorder, despite their separate roles. Many associates are cross-trained to assist where help is needed, a perfect example of doing "Whatever It Takes" and putting our customers first.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, the entire manufacturing team was awarded the Beekley Medical "Whatever It Takes Award," an honor only given out when senior leadership deems it has been merited. They earned this award for providing exceptional service to our customers while other manufacturers struggled with raw goods' back orders and staff shortages. Our team never missed a beat and was able to get through the worst of the pandemic without having to backorder products or delay shipments to our customers so that they, in turn, could serve their patients.

Beekley is lucky to have this team of hard-working individuals on our team. Their efforts are genuinely appreciated today and every day.
