The 13th annual Beekley Medical St. Patrick's Day fundraiser for St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital was in full swing today. Our associates donned their green attire and sharpened their baking skills all in the name of fundraising. Associates made monetary donations and also all proceeds from our St. Jude's "Bake and Snack Sale" will be matched 100% by Beekley Corporation! Because this fundraiser supports children affected by cancer and their families, this charity is near and dear to the hearts of many of our associates and we look forward to it each year.
St. Jude's Mission
St. Jude's Mission is to advance cures, and means of prevention, for pediatric catastrophic diseases through research and treatment. Consistent with the vision of founder Danny Thomas, no child is denied treatment based on race, religion or a family's ability to pay. According to the St. Jude's website, donations help families in many ways like:
- Families never receive a bill from St. Jude for treatment, travel, housing and food – because all a family should worry about is helping their child live.
- To drive the overall survival rate for childhood cancer to 90 percent in the next decade.
